He comes to this time of year it is really OK to indulge in a little sentimental and what better than to retreat with your family or even yourself if you are shy to shed a tear, and s ‘indulge in some of the greatest movies seasons.
So what is the main ingredient for a superb Christmas movie?
It is not technical; scale to launch something similar – although, of course, very important. It is on the whole essence of Christmas resonates with their lives.
Movies that capture the essence are those that remain with us throughout the years, rooted in our psyche, his message resonates and touches our own generosity of spirit.
Three films such as doing just that.
A Christmas Carol (1951) - Apparently, the fact of death over the years, it is not surprising since the Dickens story is simply a work of art. This version starring Alastair Sim is the recent “colourized”, but the real authenticity, this is the best view in black and white. The description of the Sim version of Scrooge makes this stand out – manages to capture the perfect Scrooge is a weak, when she realizes that she is able to compensate.
It ‘a Wonderful Life (1946) - Directed by Frank Capra and starring Jimmy Stewart, George Bailey, the legs down and depressed businessman to suicide on Christmas Eve. The film has a simple message of Karma with George, who considers himself a failure shows its true value to his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody.
The film was considered a flop at the box office when it opened, and despite five nominations for the Academy Award had no influence. The American Film Institute’s A Wonderful Life voted the most inspirational American film of all time and is a true testament to the honesty in which delicately captures the Christmas holidays and the human spirit.
Miracle on 34th Street (1947) - Again, while this film was remade twice, the original version that has the X-Factor. Edmund Gwenn plays Kris Kringle – an old man who has a striking resemblance to Santa Claus, and as such is used as a last minute Santa in Macy’s toy store. The viewer is rewarded in the end by having faith in the character Gwenn, who survives social cynicism and doubt and the belief that shines through and wins the day.
The postwar years appears to be a golden age of movies that capture the true meaning of Christmas. Maybe it has something to do with the celebration of the victory of human spirit over adversity. But anyway, these three films have in abundance.
I am a huge movie fan, and needless to say I spend a considerable amount of time and money to enjoy my hobbies watching movies. I think movie rentals a significant money saver for someone with my length film.
